Research Study Opportunities

Subjects Needed for Driver Distraction Study

$$$   Earn $100   $$$

The Transportation Active Safety Institute (TASI) is conducting a research study investigating driver eye glance behaviors for evaluating new vehicle safety technology. The purpose of the study is to control driver distraction and improve driving safety. We are looking for participants who:

 

Have a valid driver’s license in US or Canada with driving experience

Fit into our demographic requirements

Not currently pregnant

&

Can go to the test site 1 mile away from the IUPUI campus

 

The study will be conducted in both in-door and outdoor environment with an instrumented research vehicle. Some of the tests will have driving involved. Dr. Lingxi Li leads the study from the Transportation Active Safety Institute (TASI) in ECE Department at IUPUI.

Due to the research needs, all participants will be screened and selected based on demographic background information, and being provided the options of static or driving test sessions based on the screening results:

  • Test session: ~ 2 hours with $100 compensation

Dr. Euzeli dos Santos, Assistant Professor

Lucas Gramlin, Undergraduate Student
